Mistral adds memory and AI connectors to Le Chat
Mistral AI is bringing more than 20 MCP-based enterprise connectors and customizable memory to Le Chat, preserving context between conversations. Both features are available to all users, including those on the free plan, with options to control permissions, data and deployment.

Mistral AI has added memory that preserves context between conversations and a network of more than 20 enterprise connectors to Le Chat. The goal is for the assistant to do more than answer questions: it should also be able to find information and perform tasks in the tools you already use.
The new features are available to all Le Chat users, including those on the free plan. You can try them at chat.mistral.ai or through the mobile apps.
Le Chat connects to your tools
The connectors use MCP, a standard that lets an AI assistant communicate with external applications in a controlled way. With them, Le Chat can retrieve data, summarize documents and take actions in work services.
The directory, which is still in beta, includes connections for several areas:
- Data: Pinecone, Prisma Postgres and DeepWiki. Databricks and Snowflake are listed as coming soon.
- Productivity: Box, Notion, Asana, Monday.com, Jira and Confluence.
- Development: GitHub, Linear, Sentry and Cloudflare Development Platform.
- Automation: Zapier and Brevo.
- Commerce and payments: PayPal, Plaid, Square and Stripe.
You can also connect any remote MCP server, even if it does not appear in the directory. This lets you adapt Le Chat to internal tools or specific company processes.
In practice, you could ask it to review customer feedback in Databricks and create an Asana task listing the most common problems. Or you could ask it to analyze pull requests in GitHub, open issues in Jira and document the changes in Notion.
Each organization remains responsible for administration. Administrators can decide which connectors are available to each user and apply authentication on their behalf, so no one can access information they are not authorized to view.
Companies can also choose where to deploy the service: on Mistral's servers, in their own cloud or in an on-premises installation.
Memories: context between conversations
The second new feature is Memories, a beta function that lets Le Chat save useful information about you and retrieve that context in later conversations.
For example, it can remember your preferences, previous decisions or relevant project details. That means you will not have to repeat in every chat how you want a report delivered or what your team's priorities are.
Mistral says the system tries to keep what matters, discard temporary information and avoid sensitive or unauthorized inferences. Memory does not work like a log that saves everything.
You control every entry. You can add, edit, update or delete memories, as well as review the privacy settings. The company also lets you import memories from ChatGPT.
What changes for you
Le Chat is no longer just a window for talking to an AI model. It can become an access layer for your documents, data and applications, capable of chaining several steps together in a single request.
That also means reviewing permissions before connecting tools that contain financial information, code, customer data or internal documents. The convenience depends on having access settings properly defined.
Mistral will hold a webinar about MCP on September 9, 2025, and an in-person hackathon in Paris on September 13 and 14. The next thing to watch will be the expansion of the directory and how accurately Le Chat performs actions in real systems, not just the number of integrations available.
