HoloTab brings an AI agent to Chrome
HCompany has introduced HoloTab, a free Chrome extension that browses the internet, fills out forms and completes tasks based on natural-language instructions. It also lets you record routines to repeat or schedule processes such as comparing prices or searching for job listings.
HCompany has launched HoloTab, a Chrome extension that lets you ask an AI agent to browse the internet and complete tasks directly in your browser. You do not need to code or set up complex workflows: describe what you want, and the system interacts with web pages as a person would.
The agent can move between different websites, fill in fields, interpret interfaces and make decisions along the way. The technology behind it is known as computer-use AI: models that can see a screen, understand what is happening and take actions with the mouse and keyboard.
From comparing prices to searching for a job
HoloTab is designed for tasks that are not difficult but do take a lot of time. For example, it could check the price of a product across twenty online stores and collect the data in a spreadsheet.
It can also browse job boards and company websites, filter listings and transfer relevant information to a tracking document. Instead of repeating the same clicks for an afternoon, you describe the goal and let the agent move through the different pages.
The extension works without any technical setup. The complex parts, such as interpreting the interface or deciding what to do next, happen in the background.
Routines turn a task into an automated process
For repetitive work, HoloTab includes a feature called routines. First, you record how you perform the task in a tab while clicking or explaining out loud what you are doing and why.
HoloTab uses the screen, your actions and that explanation to understand the goal. When you finish recording, it generates a routine that you can run again later or schedule to repeat automatically.
This could be useful, for example, for checking new job listings each week, monitoring price changes or collecting information from several pages using the same steps.
What changes for you
The proposal lowers the barrier to using AI agents. Until now, automating tasks across multiple websites usually required specialized tools, integrations or technical knowledge. With HoloTab, you start with the browser you already use.
The extension is free and available for Chrome. HCompany is presenting it alongside Holo3, its AI model for operating computers, launched on March 31. The company says this model powers HoloTab's browsing and planning capabilities.
The next aspect to watch is reliability: an automated task can save time, but it also needs supervision when it involves purchases, personal data or important decisions. The direction is clear: agents are starting to move beyond answering questions and work inside the tools you already use.
