Grok Bot launches AI agents to delegate work

xAI has launched Grok Bot, a service that lets you delegate real tasks to AI agents capable of using a computer, accessing your applications and completing work from start to finish.

The idea is that you should not have to write instructions every few minutes. You send it a message as if you were talking to a colleague, assign a task and let the Bot work in the background. It only comes back to you when it needs approval or a decision.

A computer of its own for every Bot

Each Bot has access to its own computer in the cloud. It can log in to the tools you already use and work across applications, inboxes and websites, even when there is no direct technical connection between them.

In practice, it could update a CRM with notes from a call and prepare a follow-up email. It can also process invoices received in Gmail, reproduce a bug in a product interface or open a ticket for another Bot to handle.

The computer keeps working even if you close the app or step away. You can continue the conversation later from your phone or computer, in the same thread.

From an assistant to a small team

According to xAI, Grok Bot started as an internal prototype and began being used for sales, marketing, operations and development tasks. The company is now offering it outside the company in beta.

The Bots can also collaborate with one another. One can coordinate the work and assign tasks to specialists focused on areas such as:

• Email management and conversation follow-up
• Expenses, invoices and internal operations
• Hiring and organizing new employees
• Bug fixes and development tasks

You can also add multiple Bots to a group chat. There, they can share context, assign work to one another and decide when they need you to step in. The goal is to avoid having to copy information from one conversation to another or act as an intermediary between agents.

It learns how you work

Grok Bot does not just receive isolated instructions. You can ask it to observe how you perform a task and learn the process. The system saves that workflow as a routine, incorporates your corrections and can repeat it the next time without requiring you to explain every step.

Over time, the Bots try to adapt to the way you work: they can recognize your tone, remember special cases and distinguish between situations that require notifying you and those they can resolve on their own. xAI also says they can resume abandoned conversations and remind other Bots that a task is still pending.

That points to an important difference from tools that first force you to build detailed automations and workflows. With Grok Bot, the proposal is to start with a conversation and turn repetitive tasks into routines later.

Who can use it

Grok Bot is available from today in beta to subscribers of:

• SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus and SuperGrok Heavy
• Cursor Pro, Pro+ and Ultra
• Cursor Teams Standard and Premium

Access is available on desktop and iOS. Grok Bot usage is counted separately from Grok and Cursor plans, so delegated tasks do not use up the usual limit for those services. Business users can join a waitlist for access later.

For you, the most relevant change is that AI is no longer limited to drafting a response and can handle a complete chain of actions. The question to watch during the beta is how much control users retain when the Bot works across multiple accounts, and whether its reviews and approvals are sufficient before a task has real-world consequences.
